I know we all expect 2007 wines to be good, especially the reds, and this one does not disappoint. A nose full of pepper, cassis and tobacco leads to black cherry, smoke, tobacco, and pepper, with a nice balancing acidity on the palate. Those who are adverse to rough tough tannins should have no fear, there’s a delicate smoothness that’ll please the palate without leaving that flannel blanket feeling behind on your tongue.
